LIN 5930: Special Topics in Linguistics: The Art of Language Invention (summer A).  Pre-requisites: A background in linguistics is ideal, but not required. This course provides an overview of invented languages from the 12th century until today. It explores the characteristics of various constructed languages, including Esperanto, Sindarin, Na’vi, and Heptapod B. It also offers guided practice on how to create an invented language from scratch. (González)
