Spanish Undergraduate Programs

The Spanish program at Florida State University prepares students to encounter the world through language study: the many different cultures where Spanish is spoken; films, literature, or music in Spanish; the political history of the hemispheric Americas where English and Spanish are spoken side by side; Hispanic Linguistics.

Learning Spanish is a key to amplifying students' careers in many other fields, from medicine where Spanish enables medical practitioners to serve wider communities; to international affairs and entrepreneurship where a capacity to communicate in Spanish is an irreplaceable skill. We therefore offer a wide range of courses in culture, medical Spanish, film, and history, for students of all levels. We are especially proud that the international program in Valencia is so popular among students who continue to fulfill their university requirements while accessing an incomparable opportunity to live internationally and Students have further opportunities to study abroad in various Spanish-speaking locations around the world in Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, or Spain.
